About the role
- Landlord-Tenant Paralegal We are a real estate development and property management company seeking an experienced Landlord-Tenant Paralegal to support our in-house legal and compliance function across our residential portfolio in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. This role works closely with property managers and outside counsel to manage the
- legal and collections process from notice through judgment, while using our proprietary software to manage the case load. The ideal candidate has experience with DC Superior Court's Landlord and Tenant Branch, is comfortable managing a high volume of matters across multiple and understands the procedural steps specific to DC housing law. Responsibilities
- Support hearing preparation, including scheduling, witness/property manager coordination
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload with competing deadlines
Requirements
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation
- $40k-$45k
