About the role
- This position offers an opportunity to instruct individuals in a work readiness course and clean energy basics bridge course focused on preparing students for success in an array of clean energy jobs and workplaces.
- The bridge program is the first training component of the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) grant program.
- Individual must prepare students for job-specific technical trainings.
Responsibilities
- Teach clean energy basics including topics such as energy, construction and electrical. Familiarize students with clean energy jobs which may include solar, wind, building energy efficiency, and electric vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain Clean Jobs Curriculum Framework objectives for all lessons, modules, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups
Nice to have
- Experience teaching essential employability skills.
- Knowledge in teaching or adult training in a business environment.
- English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Demonstrated multicultural competence.
- Normal office physical demands.
- Standing for long lengths of time.
- Internal candidates must adhere to the terms of employment regarding length of time in current position as outlined in their union contract.
