About the role
- Job Description: Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Business Intelligence Developer to join our team, supporting the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Responsibilities
- Work with technical teams to design and implement data collection tools and techniques to ensure the appropriate integrity, frequency, and confidence is achieved.
- Create data pipelines that utilize data sources via Python SQL and/or Azure Data factory.
- Develop graphs, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex technical findings.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple VA sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with program objectives.

Requirements
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with VHA systems and data repositories, including CDW and VistA.
Nice to have
- Active Public Trust clearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role
Compensation
- Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
