- We have opportunities on days and nights for Monitor Techs at UofL and Jewish Hospitals.
- UofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system with five hospitals, four medical centers, nearly 200 physician practice locations, more than 700 providers, the Frazier Rehab Institute and Brown Cancer Center.
Responsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
- Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to analyze and recognize abnormalities in patient heart readings
- Ability to think through issues and identify appropriate options
Nice to have
- Previous hospital patient care experience (preferred)
Skills
- Understanding and awareness of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Applies proper and professional communication skills between personnel within the department and to other departments
- Presents a personable and professional attitude to physicians, patients, families, visitors, and co-worker
- Ability to observe and read multiple monitors at once
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms
- Ability to utilize EMR and Microsoft Office Suite effectively
