About the role

  • Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager of Float Pool.

Responsibilities

  • Generates, manages, and updates master schedules while making adjustments as needed according to census fluctuation, call-ins and pre-planned leaves of absences.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records, commitment tracking, and follows up with facilities when appropriate.
  • Performs general duties for the department to include answering telephone, accepting and documenting call-outs, collaborating with units regarding staffing needs, calling and scheduling staff after hours and on weekends, ordering supplies, filing.
  • Demonstrates a "service" attitude. Interacts professionally and provides information on programs/services. Assists in services recovery. Leads by example and focuses on continuous performance improvement to achieve world class results.
  • Works closely with all departments and offices to maintain various staffing information and reports.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
  • 1 year Patient care or customer service experience (Required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher) (Required)
  • Education
  • Experience
  • 1 year Administrative healthcare experience with skills in staff coordination, scheduling and timekeeping (Preferred)
  • Understanding of medical terminology (Preferred)

Compensation

  • $16k-$20k

Benefits

  • $15.60 - $20.25/HourlyActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
