Responsibilities
- Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, prices lists, etc.
- May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction such as constructability review, plan, and specification coordination.
- Design to Cost estimating (check pricing) during design on DB projects
- A&E Design Estimating Support
- 30/60/90/IFC design cost estimating
Requirements
- include reviewing proposal drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate or bid.
Nice to have
- This position prefers a four-year degree, preferably in architecture/engineering or construction management and minimum of fifteen years' experience.
- Experience with MS Office products required.
- Advanced skills with Excel is a plus.
- Experience with on screen take-offs or estimating software such as Plan Swift is a plus.
- Experience with BIM 360 is a plus.
- Experience with commercial off the shelf estimating software a plus.
