Responsibilities
- Overview Supervises building operations and scheduling of trade services, overseeing the maintenance, renovation, and development of facilities services.
- Manages staff, develops procedures to improve service, plans and organizes work, and ensures minimal disruption to critical services.
- Collaborates with project managers, communicates with building users, and participates in handing over completed projects.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate activities of staff engaged in planning and scheduling custodial, maintenance, and repair work.
- Knowledge of facilities management, building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Proven ability to maintain, manage, and prepare scheduling, word processing, and spreadsheet documents and reports.
- Building management experience.
- Supervises the day-to-day custodial and/or maintenance operations of a unit, department, or school building within the University.
- Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for building maintenance and develops preventative maintenance schedules.
- Develops detailed work plans and establishes daily assignment priorities and time schedules for staff.
Requirements
- Well-developed critical thinking skills and the ability to utilize sound independent judgment.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including responding to emergencies and special events.

- Experience with systems such as Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft applications.
