About the role

Overview Supervises building operations and scheduling of trade services, overseeing the maintenance, renovation, and development of facilities services.
Manages staff, develops procedures to improve service, plans and organizes work, and ensures minimal disruption to critical services.
Collaborates with project managers, communicates with building users, and participates in handing over completed projects.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate activities of staff engaged in planning and scheduling custodial, maintenance, and repair work.
Knowledge of facilities management, building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades.
Proven ability to maintain, manage, and prepare scheduling, word processing, and spreadsheet documents and reports.
Building management experience.
Supervises the day-to-day custodial and/or maintenance operations of a unit, department, or school building within the University.
Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for building maintenance and develops preventative maintenance schedules.
Develops detailed work plans and establishes daily assignment priorities and time schedules for staff.

Well-developed critical thinking skills and the ability to utilize sound independent judgment.
Ability to work irregular hours, including responding to emergencies and special events.
Required Skills and Abilities 1.
Experience with systems such as Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft applications.
