About the role

Timmons Group is currently seeking Civil Project Engineers at various levels to join our Land Development groups in our Richmond, VA office location.
We have opportunities in our Residential, Commercial, and Public Land Development groups.
Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.

Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology
Work to complete design details and plan sets
Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work or inspection
Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff

We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support.

A bachelor or master's degree in civil engineering or closely related field is required
Ideal candidates would have between 2-8 years of professional experience in Land Development civil engineering, but entry level candidates will be considered
Must be legally eligible to work in the Unites States without sponsorship now and in the future
The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Experience with preparation of civil engineering site plans including site layout, utilities, grading & drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management is a plus

Our project engineers will typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager to bring our client's vision to life.
