About the role
- We're looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Own the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
- Define and implement OEE and equipment performance metrics to identify loss drivers and prioritize improvement work.
- Lead equipment-focused improvement projects, including mechanical, tooling, fixturing, and station layout changes.
- Create and maintain CAD designs and drawings to develop hardware solutions that address reliability, ergonomics, quality, and throughput issues.
- Support installation, commissioning, and ramp of new equipment, including active participation in design reviews, FATs, and SATs from an equipment owner perspective.
- Optimize equipment parameters and station configuration in collaboration with production and quality teams.
- Provide hands-on floor support in a high-volume manufacturing environment and establish standards to reduce repeat issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across equipment, controls, manufacturing, quality, and operations to drive execution and results.
Requirements
- 7+ years of applicable experience and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, such as furnaces, web or powder handling equipment, mixers, resistance welders, and laminators
