About the role
- In this role, you will play a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of our accounting records.
- You will be based onsite at our Devens, MA facility and report to the Accounting Manager.
- We feel strongly that our team should not have to worry about having quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain prepaid expense schedules, including prepaid insurance and other qualifying prepaid assets
- Manage vendor deposit accounting by reviewing project purchase orders and partnering with project owners and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate accounting treatment
- Support monthly variance analysis and actual versus budget reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes
- Experience with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting

- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader business objectives
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced functions
- Willingness to contribute beyond defined responsibilities to support the needs of a growing business
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus
- Experience using Coupa procurement and requisition systems is a plus
- Experience supporting external audits is a plus
- Experience working in a high-growth manufacturing, technology, or clean energy environment is a plus
- Experience with ERP implementations or system integrations is a plus
Compensation
- Assist with annual external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
