Personalize to your clock →H-1B wage level
the lottery is wage-weighted — each level is one more entry
The bottom of this range ($110,000) is below the Level I prevailing wage of $110,510. An H-1B cannot be filed below the prevailing wage, so an offer at the floor of this band could not be sponsored as posted.
Based on the DOL prevailing wage for this occupation and worksite, a base salary of $134,493 would place this position at wage Level II. That figure is within the posted range, and I'd like to target it. This role classifies under "Mechanical Engineers" for prevailing-wage purposes.
DOL prevailing wage, 2026-27 wage year · Mechanical Engineers (17-2141) · San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA. Wage level is derived by USCIS from the offered wage, occupation and worksite; the occupation shown is inferred from the job title.

About the role
- Your work will directly impact the robot's perception, reliability, thermal performance, structural integrity, safety, and overall user experience.
Responsibilities
- We're building humanoid robots that work in home - doing the chores, handling the tasks, and giving people their time back.
- NEO is our flagship - a home robot designed to move, learn, and operate in the real world alongside real people.
- We're scaling, we're hiring with intention, and we need people who want to build something that will genuinely change how humans spend their time - safely creating abundance for all.
- Design and deliver the mechanical systems that power NEO's head assembly.
- You will own mechanical components and assemblies throughout the entire product lifecycle-from concept development and prototyping through validation, manufacturing, and production ramp.
- Design and release mechanical components and assemblies supporting cameras, microphones, sensors, antennas, wire harnesses, PCBAs, and computing modules
- Deliver robust mechanical designs that meet structural, thermal, reliability, manufacturability, and aesthetic requirements
