About the role
- CR's consumer product and service testing center, in Yonkers, New York, is the largest nonprofit educational and consumer product testing center in the world.
- It is here where, in any one of our 63 labs, we test, rate, and review 10,000+ products and services.
- As a Mechanic on the team, you will report to the Director of Facilities to focus on routine maintenance, responding to occasional off-hour emergency calls and ensuring safety regulations are met and all equipment is in good working order.

Requirements
- You have the degree.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- You have the experience.
- A minimum of 5-years experience in maintenance or a similar role.
- You are a subject matter expert.
- You have knowledge of buildings, machinery, and equipment.
- You are a jack-of-all-trades.
- You have basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical skills.
- You are self-motivated and a problem solver.
- You are certified in a trade or equivalent field.
Compensation
- At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation.The target salary range for this position is $69,074.30 - $80K.
