About the role

This role is central to delivering standardized, scalable SCADA networking architecture across solar, wind, and BESS projects while ensuring seamless integration with ISO and owner platforms.
Your expertise will directly influence fleet-wide standards, long-term infrastructure reliability, and operational excellence across Intersect's growing portfolio.
This role is planned to start in mid-Q1, with a four-week training period to reach full productivity by mid-Q2.

Design Secure, Scalable SCADA Network Architecture
Develop and standardize secure, scalable SCADA network architectures for utility-scale facilities operating within ERCOT.
Define industrial networking strategies including routing, switching, VLAN segmentation, fiber topology, and firewall design.
Establish documentation and configuration control standards to support fleet-wide consistency and long-term maintainability.
Implement and maintain SCADA cybersecurity controls aligned with NERC CIP and company standards.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant telemetry, ISO communications, and secure data acquisition systems.
Lead System Integration & Commissioning
Oversee FAT, SAT, commissioning, and field support activities for complex telemetry and control systems.
Troubleshoot & Optimize Plant Communications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with emphasis in power systems, networking, or industrial controls.
