About the role
- This role can be based in Salt Lake City, UT with a hybrid work arrangement or performed remotely within the United States.

- YOU ARE: The Tax Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of PROG Holdings' U.S. federal and multi-state income tax function, including select international tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Progressive Leasing is a leading provider of in-store and e-commerce lease-to-own solutions.
- Proven ability to manage tax audits, notices, and uncertain tax positions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- Experience with tax technology tools such as Workday and OneSource
- Experience with automation, AI tools, or finance transformation initiatives (preferred)
Skills
- Coordinate multi-state tax compliance, including apportionment and state-specific requirements
- Assist with preparation of tax-related financial disclosures for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q)
- Contribute to tax planning strategies aimed at optimizing cash taxes and effective tax rate
- Leverage tax technology platforms (e.g., Workday, OneSource) to streamline workflows
Compensation
- Support quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations, including effective tax rate analysis and related adjustments
