About the role
- We are seeking a dependable senior operator to provide oversight across Aquatech's Southwestern Ontario operations.
Responsibilities
- Support and guide less experienced operators through technical direction, mentorship, site checks, and operational follow-up
- Monitor treatment processes and make operational adjustments to optimize performance
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior operators
- Ongoing training and certification support
Requirements
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
- Experience with compliance monitoring, process control, laboratory interpretation, and operational reporting
- Ability to work independently across a large geographic region while maintaining communication with operations leadership and site staff
- Required Certifications
- Aquatech places significant value on demonstrated operational experience in both water and wastewater systems.
- This individual will help keep eyes on the region, support less experienced operators, attend sites as required, and ensure operations remain safe, compliant, reliable, and well-supported across a broad service area.
Nice to have
- Experience operating private communal water and wastewater systems
- Experience supporting multiple sites across a large geographic territory
- Provide senior operational oversight for water treatment, distribution, wastewater treatment, and collection systems across Southwestern Ontario operations
- Travel to sites across the region as required to inspect facilities, verify operating conditions, troubleshoot issues, and support field staff
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process issues
- Complete operational records and regulatory reporting requirements
- Monitor and respond to SCADA alarms and notifications
- Provide operational support to other Aquatech operating areas when required and where practical based on geography and business needs
