About the role
- This role is ideal for individuals with plumbing or HVAC trade experience who enjoy teaching others, leading classroom sessions, and demonstrating real ‑ world applications of Uponor products and systems.
- While some collaboration on training materials is expected, the primary focus is facilitation, instruction, and customer-facing education, not curriculum development.
- This hybrid role is based at our North American Headquarters in Apple Valley, MN, with up to 20% travel.
Responsibilities
- Deliver world ‑ class technical training sessions; both classroom and hands ‑ on covering Uponor/GF products, applications, installation best practices, and system design.
- Lead customer engagement events that showcase the value proposition of Uponor solutions and support contractor confidence, loyalty, and adoption.
- Teach selling skills, value ‑ based messaging, and solution positioning to support profitable growth.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead engaging classroom, virtual, and hands ‑ on sessions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and adapt to diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience as a licensed plumber or HVAC technician.
- 5-7 years of experience in training, technical instruction, sales, or field leadership within plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, or construction.
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Experience coaching sales teams or supporting customer ‑ facing technical roles.
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Articulate, WebEx, SharePoint, or LMS platforms.
- Experience applying modern instructional methods to technical or trade audiences.
Compensation
- Applicable to US job postings only (not Canada): The expected compensation range for this position is $88,298-$132,447/year.
