About the role

  • This role will have broad responsibility across export compliance, global data privacy, ethics and investigations, and other compliance related activity.
  • This position requires exceptional time management skills, strong attention to detail, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to nurture positive long-term relationships with internal clients, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategies for organizing contracts within a document management system
  • Developing and implementing playbooks for various types of agreements
  • Utilize Lattice's CLM platform to manage contract workflows from intake through execution and renewal, maintain accurate contract records, and partner with Legal Operations to develop standard templates and playbooks that reduce cycle time across the organization
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent law degree and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 12 or more years of experience in compliance and/or commercial transactions at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel at a multinational technology or semiconductor company.
  • Expertise in U.S. export controls (EAR/ITAR), denied-party screening, and licensing, with direct experience in semiconductor, electronics, software, or dual-use technology environments.
  • Meaningful experience with global privacy law, including GDPR, CCPA, and data transfer mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with anti-corruption frameworks (FCPA, UK Bribery Act) and third-party risk management.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - clear communicator with a good ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and simple manner in both writing and in person
  • ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance for business leaders and employees at all levels.

Nice to have

  • ISO 27001 experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience operating in a multi-jurisdictional environment with particular exposure to Asia-Pacific (Taiwan, India, China, Korea) and EMEA (Germany) is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the development and implementation of negotiating technology contracts for a multinational corporation preferred

Compensation

  • In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for variable/ incentive compensation and/ or equity.
