About the role
- Our audience is ML engineers, infrastructure teams, and technical founders, and most of them meet us first on X or LinkedIn, around a model launch, a benchmark, an open source release, or a customer result.
- This role decides what that first impression is.
- This is a senior individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the social side of launches alongside product marketing, product, and engineering.
- Produce content. Shoot and edit short-form video at events, in the office, and around launches, and brief a freelancer or design partner when that's faster.
- Manage the contractors and creators who extend our output beyond one person.
- We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital.
- Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
Requirements
- 5+ years running social for a technical, developer-facing, or B2B technology brand, most of it as the person writing and shipping the posts.
- A track record of growing an account.
- Experience being trusted with a brand account, including the judgment calls about what not to post.
- Comfort in a fast launch cycle where the plan changes and the window to react is short.
