Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Delivery Drive execution of key initiatives from conception through delivery, ensuring alignment with Function's strategic goals and creating systems that scale as we grow.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with product, design, and operations teams to align engineering outcomes with member experience and business priorities.
  • Culture & Process Establish engineering practices that support high velocity without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a formal leadership or management role.
  • Technical Expertise Strong foundation in software engineering, with proficiency in Python and experience building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Operational Excellence Experience driving engineering processes that balance speed with quality, including Agile practices, test-driven development, and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, make decisions under uncertainty, and move projects forward even in the face of ambiguity.

  • Data Engineering Background:
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced skills in a range of technologies, including Python for backend development, React and React Native for frontend and mobile app development, GCP for cloud services, and Postgres for database management.
  • Your proficiency in these technologies will be critical in developing robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
