About the role

  • The Parts Technician plays a critical role in the efficiency and accuracy of the auto body repair process.
  • This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, inspecting, organizing, and distributing parts needed for vehicle repairs.
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate clearly with technicians, estimators, and vendors to ensure timely and correct parts flow.

Responsibilities

  • Document and return incorrect or damaged parts promptly.
  • Maintain an organized parts staging area for ongoing repairs.
  • Manage parts returns, cores, credits, and warranty documentation.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of consumables and shop supplies.
  • Support the production team with status updates on parts arrivals and backorders.
  • Maintain records of parts received, returned, or pending.
