About the role
- The Parts Technician plays a critical role in the efficiency and accuracy of the auto body repair process.
- This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, inspecting, organizing, and distributing parts needed for vehicle repairs.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate clearly with technicians, estimators, and vendors to ensure timely and correct parts flow.
Responsibilities
- Document and return incorrect or damaged parts promptly.
- Maintain an organized parts staging area for ongoing repairs.
- Manage parts returns, cores, credits, and warranty documentation.
- Maintain adequate inventory of consumables and shop supplies.
- Support the production team with status updates on parts arrivals and backorders.
- Maintain records of parts received, returned, or pending.
