About the role
- This role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing diesel trucks, barges, and heavy equipment, with a focus on diesel engines and hydraulics.
- You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs and installations, and following a regular maintenance schedule to ensure all machinery is operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and maintain a detailed monthly maintenance schedule, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment, including cranes and heavy machinery, to minimize downtime and extend service life.
- Ensure strict compliance with all quality standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Managing Time and Resources Effectively and efficiently manages workload with appropriate sense of urgency.
- Servicing hundreds of clients from Madison to Milwaukee, Summerset Marine provides the highest level of expertise to design, install and support any pier and boat lift system, always on call for any service needs.
Requirements
- Travel to jobsites is required.
- The ideal candidate will have strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
- Experience with heavy equipment, PMs (Preventive Maintenance), and repair.
Nice to have
- Welding skills are preferred.
- CDL A is a plus.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints is a plus.
