About the role

  • Milton CAT is the exclusive distributor of Caterpillar earthmoving and construction machinery and power systems products in the Northeast.
  • Headquartered in Milford MA, the Milton CAT team has over 1,000 dedicated and experienced employees working from 12 well-equipped locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and upstate New York.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains responsibility for all technical and financial closeout of each project ensuring gross profit levels budgeted for each job.
  • Technical knowledge of diesel engine, electrical power generation, power distribution including engine generator sets, system integration design, assembly, installation, commissioning, operation, repair, paralleling switchgear and transfer switches, fuel systems, exhaust systems, enclosures and ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Experience to lead groups/ people and work well with various leadership levels.

  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

  • 5 years project management or engineering/engine related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree, or an equivalent technical background in electricity, hydraulics, mechanical drives, engines, and industrial operations.
  • Electrical power, electrician, generator or reciprocating engine experience desired.
