Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, integrate, implement, test, maintain, review, and administer infrastructure, hardware, and software to manage network security and risk posture in alignment with the organization's security strategy.
- Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluating performance results and recommending significant changes to ensure project success and growth.
- Stay up to date on market and technology trends to identify and implement best-of-breed solutions for clients.

Requirements
- Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in network and systems engineering roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of networking technologies, security solutions, and system administration.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Required Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Ability to travel to client sites, both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), as needed (approximately 15-25% travel).
- Ability to interact effectively with team members while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with and understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation strategies.
- This includes implementing least privilege access controls, continuous authentication, and micro-segmentation to enhance network security.
- Experience with Versa Networks is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specific network technologies and solutions.
Skills
- Proficiency in routing and switching technologies, particularly with Juniper and Cisco hardware.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting wireless networks.
- A solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including network functions, routing protocols, configuration mappings, and network drawings.
- Experience with various networking protocols such as BGP, static routing, IP multicast, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with MS Windows operating systems and Active Directory for system administration tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio) for documentation and presentation purposes.
- Experience working in secure facilities, understanding high-side protocols, procedures, and security requirements.
- Strong attention to detail for information gathering, analysis, troubleshooting, and presentation purposes.

Compensation
- The projected salary range for this position is $150,000+ annually.
