About the role

  • The position uses a depth and/or breadth of specialized knowledge to interpret internal and external business issues, recommend best practices, and solve complex problems with a broad perspective and innovative solutions.

  • This is not a hybrid or remote opportunity and requires onsite presence 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the accountable engineer from design through deployment and post-release support.
  • Architects and leads development of cloud services that support the integration of AI-driven capabilities within clinical imaging workflows.
  • Leads the design of web-based front-end experiences for clinical workflows.
  • Defines and maintains the integration architecture and APIs connecting the cloud platform with the company's desktop imaging applications.
  • Establishes and drives adherence to engineering best practices for reliability, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across the platform.
  • Produces and maintains all software engineering deliverables, including software documentation, code, test plans, and test results.
  • Communicates complex technical concepts and builds alignment with stakeholders on architectural direction.
  • Performs all duties in the software development process, ranging from requirements definition, design, implementation, integration, test, and deployment.
  • This role leads the design and implementation of cloud-hosted services, web-based front-end experiences, and backend systems that integrate with the company's existing desktop imaging applications.
  • The position works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations and may lead functional teams or projects with impact on achieving customer, operational, project, or service objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in related field with 5 years in product/project/process/team leadership.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in related fields, preferred.
  • Microservices architecture experience, preferred.
  • Software process definition and/or software process improvement.
  • Software development in an FDA-regulated industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
