- The main responsibility of a fact checker/copy editor is to be the last line of defense against any errors in our articles.
- You're looking for inaccuracies and instilling trust in our readers by ensuring a bulletproof product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of editing and fact checking experience, preferably on a copy edit desk
- Must have a excellent attention to detail and work with writers to ensure that all information in stories is accurate.
- At the end of the day, our ability to get it right is how we establish trust with our readers and we need a team player who understands the importance of accuracy
- We reward innovation, creativity and the ability to just GET STUFF DONE.
- You don't have to be an expert of the facts in our stories themselves but you have the tools and know how to verify them.
- You're a grammar hound and you have an eagle's eye for typos and other errors that can affect our credibility with readers.
