Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in field construction tasks.
- Basic knowledge of underground installation practices required
- Ability to sometimes work outside plant network in a given market, including metro and long-haul fibers, when needed.
- Proficiency in using computers, cell phones, test equipment, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Office applications.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- Must be able to maintain eligibility to operate a company issued vehicle per our policy (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years)
- Will be required to work outdoors in various environments, weather conditions, temperatures, exposed to local flora and fauna.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Previous experience in utility locating, fiber optic cable builds are required. Telecom specific training is preferred.
- Available to participate in on-call schedule rotation 24/7/365, dispatch, and overtime.
- Occasionally work long shifts with overnight travel, as necessary. Ability to sometimes work outside plant network in a given market, including metro and long-haul fibers, when needed.
- this includes possession of a state-issued driver license for the state in which you live.
- Must follow all personal safety policies and procedures.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- some college or technical school training, preferred.
- Previous experience in utility locating, fiber optic cable builds are required.
- Telecom specific training is preferred.
Compensation
- The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role.
