About the role
- Position Purpose: The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing direct patient care for urgent, emergent, or potential health problems.
- Athletic Trainers understand orthopedic concepts and participate in the organization and management of the practice.
- Essential Responsibilities (Occupational Exposure): Provide optimal healthcare to student-athletes by providing coverage within the designated school facility, at practices, and events.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments, provide initial care for athletic injuries, and coordinate rehabilitation with team physicians, sports medicine staff, coaches, and strength and conditioning staff.
- Performs concussion testing.

Requirements
- Knowledge of physical therapy patient care practices.
