About the role

Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, regulations, instruction manuals, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform trade for long hours, day after day, often in adverse conditions, to complete the project at hand.
- Perform grounding, weatherproofing, and testing.
- Adhere to and perform duties pursuant to the company wide safety plan.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years or more experience in the Construction field required.
- Tower Safety and Rescue Certification required within 3 months of hire.
- Rigging certification required within 6 months of hire.
- CDL required within 12 months of hire.
- First Aid/CPR training or ability to become certified.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
- Ability to work in a team environment, take direction from supervisor(s), high degree of attention to details, follow work rules, and adhere to project schedule.
Nice to have
- Experience in rural arctic environments preferred.
- Six (6) months experience specific to tower erection in rural arctic environments preferred.
- Prior experience in Alaska's rural construction industry is preferred.

Skills
- All-around knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in construction field.
- Basic knowledge of climbing gear, rigging, and tower safety, or ability and willingness to learn these skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Rope and knot tying skills.
- Ability to safely utilize electronic test equipment and other specialized tools in performance of duties.
- Ability to safely use harnesses, belts, ropes, and any other required protective equipment gear required to meet all duties of position.
- Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines and general time management.
- Ability to work productively under pressure.
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
- Ability to participate in group meetings.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to travel to remote places for work related purposes (up to 100% of time).
