About the role

  • The position is responsible for administering reinsurance treaties and reinsurance reporting.
  • We are looking for an individual with a passion for process improvements and automation.
  • Administer reinsurance agreements including preparing and compiling reinsurance settlements and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead the implementation of improvements within workstream processes.
  • Analyze and create automation opportunities within the existing reinsurance processes.
  • Review and validate reinsurance settlements reports received from reinsurers for completeness and accuracy per agreements.
  • Work on various responsibilities associated with reinsurance and reporting and interact with various business partners.
  • Interact, communicate, and maintain liaison with reinsurers and third-party administrators to ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of reports received.
  • Support other team members, including reviewing offshore work.

Nice to have

  • BA degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Experience working with admin systems, ledger data and familiar with operating statements
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, reinsurance operations and financial reporting
  • Work with various organizational teams and leadership
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, self-motivated, self-starter
  • able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to balance quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communications
