Responsibilities
- Build your career at DeSilva Gates Construction, where you'll be part of a team delivering major infrastructure projects across Northern California.
- Success in this role requires the ability to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates while collaborating closely with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- This role offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes, support bid strategies and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
- Estimating & Cost Analysis Review specifications, drawings, and project site conditions to develop accurate estimates.
- Evaluate projects risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential construction challenges.
- Ability to manage and produce multiple estimates concurrently.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships through effective collaboration.
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent related work experience.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent related work experience.
- 8 years of public estimating experience.
- Prior experience as a Project Manager/Engineer and/or take-off, is a plus.
- Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid, Primavera Scheduling software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Caltrans and FAA construction methods and principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels.
