  • Identify ergonomic risks related to parts, equipment, elements, and processes, and recommend effective countermeasures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support risk reduction activities at Toyota Mississippi.
  • Support safety training programs (e.g., onboarding, SMS/SMP, OSHA, Dojo/VR training), including coordination, tracking completion, and continuous improvement.
  • Support incident management processes, including investigation, documentation (e.g., Cority), root cause analysis, and countermeasure development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to address safety risks and implement risk reduction activity.
  • Support emerging technology safety integration, including risk assessments, kanbans, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Provide safety support to plant operations (PC, QC, Bodyweld, Assembly, etc.), ensuring consistent application of standards and addressing shop-specific needs.
  • Drive standardization and communication of safety requirements, including change points, training updates, and cross-site alignment.

Requirements

  • Experience working independently, can also be an effective team member.
  • Ability to generate business plans and strategies appropriate to the work assigned at the business unit level.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Occupational Safety & Health, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent degree.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing safety programs (safety-related responsibilities must comprise at least 75% of your responsibilities).
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Pro-active learner and open to constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects requiring critical thinking (kaizen), problem solving, data analysis & verification.
  • Capable of developing and delivering presentations, generating effective reports, conducting applicable standards research.
  • What you may bring
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)/Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.

  • Toyota's Safety Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Safety Analyst.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to provide proactive safety support to Toyota Mississippi.
  • Areas of focus will include ergonomics, establishing robust safety standards and procedures, support of site operations in implementing regional and local safety initiatives, and monitoring progress toward KPI targets.
