- Identify ergonomic risks related to parts, equipment, elements, and processes, and recommend effective countermeasures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support risk reduction activities at Toyota Mississippi.
- Support safety training programs (e.g., onboarding, SMS/SMP, OSHA, Dojo/VR training), including coordination, tracking completion, and continuous improvement.
- Support incident management processes, including investigation, documentation (e.g., Cority), root cause analysis, and countermeasure development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to address safety risks and implement risk reduction activity.
- Support emerging technology safety integration, including risk assessments, kanbans, and safety improvement initiatives.
- Provide safety support to plant operations (PC, QC, Bodyweld, Assembly, etc.), ensuring consistent application of standards and addressing shop-specific needs.
- Drive standardization and communication of safety requirements, including change points, training updates, and cross-site alignment.

Requirements
- Experience working independently, can also be an effective team member.
- Ability to generate business plans and strategies appropriate to the work assigned at the business unit level.
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Occupational Safety & Health, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent degree.
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing safety programs (safety-related responsibilities must comprise at least 75% of your responsibilities).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Pro-active learner and open to constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects requiring critical thinking (kaizen), problem solving, data analysis & verification.
- Capable of developing and delivering presentations, generating effective reports, conducting applicable standards research.
- What you may bring
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)/Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.

- Who we're looking for
- Toyota's Safety Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Safety Analyst.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to provide proactive safety support to Toyota Mississippi.
- Areas of focus will include ergonomics, establishing robust safety standards and procedures, support of site operations in implementing regional and local safety initiatives, and monitoring progress toward KPI targets.
