About the role
- This role ensures legal compliance and timely responses to agencies while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail in payroll-related functions.
Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and interpret wage garnishment orders, including child support, tax levies, and creditor garnishments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files on all garnishment orders.
- Perform regular, often weekly or per-pay-cycle, reconciliations comparing wage deductions against payments made to ensure compliance with laws.
- Assist employees with garnishment-related questions and provide support while maintaining confidentiality.
- Monitor timecard approvals and maintain manager access within the timekeeping system.
- Generate payroll/timekeeping reports and perform data reconciliations using Excel.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a related administrative role.
- Familiarity with wage garnishment laws and payroll practices.
- Experience running reports, performing reconciliations, and working with Excel.
Nice to have
- Experience using payroll and/or timekeeping systems (e.g., Oracle, UKG Dimensions, ADP) is preferred.
Compensation
- The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.

- The Payroll Clerk is responsible for accurately processing and maintaining all court-ordered and voluntary wage garnishments, such as child support, tax levies, and creditor garnishments.
- In addition, the position provides support for payroll timekeeping administration through routine audits, system maintenance, and reporting to promote accurate payroll processing.
