About the role
- The Slurry Plant Operator is responsible for safely transferring and processing bulk materials, operating slurry systems and heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
- This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in demanding industrial environments and varying weather conditions, and a commitment to reliability, teamwork, and customer service.
- Follow Company's safety procedures and policies according to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work assigned in a neat and orderly manner, strictly adhering to Company and governmental safety rules and regulations.
- Perform general clean up in all operational areas of the plant.
- Perform repetitive lifting of 50-100 or more pounds when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on all equipment.
- Assist maintenance and other personnel in filling vacancies to perform routine duties.

Requirements
- Minimum 1-year heavy rail transloading industrial experience required.
- Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this position.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must be capable of working up to seven days a week, and 12 - 14-hour days.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must be capable of operating small pieces of mobile and stationary equipment.
Nice to have
- 2+ years' experience preferred.
