About the role

  • This is a rare opportunity to take up a groundbreaking role at one of the largest and most influential music companies across the globe.
  • You'll be tasked with crafting and accomplishing thoughtful communications campaigns for these departments and their projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be our global corporate communications team's on-the-ground support in Miami, getting embedded with both the Latin label and our publishing company to help manage communications efforts working closely with the NY, LA and UK teams
  • Work with Indie and Latin music company leaders and deputies. Help tell the story of how WMG supports its creators, composers, collaborators, and people as a future-focused company.
  • Help establish media strategy and develop and maintain contacts from a range of new and existing outlets, including Spanish-language publications
  • A business-minded professional - manage high-visibility media engagements, including hosting journalists and providing strategic briefing and staffing for executive-level interviews
  • A hyper-organized communicator - lead on-the-ground communications logistics for internal and external events, including local All-Hands broadcasts and high-priority socials/content support
  • You'll work closely with senior executives across various departments and Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets to support our LATAM operations across recorded music and publishing, as well as our independent distribution efforts.

Requirements

  • Possess written and verbal proficiency in Spanish and relationships with Spanish-language press
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience of working in communications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to keep projects on track with various stakeholders
  • Experience at a Latin Music label or company
  • Experience in corporate communications at a publicly traded company
  • An interest or experience in the independent music space
  • In addition to S-L, any knowledge of Portuguese and relationships with Portuguese-language press

Compensation

  • Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law.
  • The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
  • The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
