About the role
- Hollywood, MD Our client is seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team.
- The proposed salary range for this position is $20-$35/hr.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG weld methods based on project requirements.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder.
- Current and valid certification(s) a plus.
- AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
- OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
- Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
- General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
- Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
Compensation
- The proposed salary range for this position is $20-$35/hr.
