About the role
- Ensure the accurate planning, tracking, storage, preservation, and timely turnover of all project materials and equipment from procurement through construction to commissioning.
- Responsible for the management of the spare parts warehouse and MRO inventory operations including stocking levels and providing security controls of materials held in inventory.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation of a highly collaborative material control culture by providing the appropriate level of support within the organization.
- Provide leadership in developing and maintaining on-going efficiencies of the material control function Interface with Procurement, Engineering, Construction and EPF Contractor teams for awareness on long-lead materials and equipment and early identification of potential shortages.
- Manage warehouse and laydown yard(s) in compliance with Blue Point procedures. Maintain material status reports, working closely with expediting and Engineering.
- Manage the warehouse and laydown yard operation in accordance with CF policies and procedures which include daily supervision of warehouse staff
- Responsible for warehouse housekeeping including the interior and exterior of the building(s) and outside yard area(s).
Requirements
- Five years of related professional experience in supervising people.
- Knowledge of material control practices and internal control objectives.
- Ability to work under schedule pressure
- Knowledge of the functional discipline in order to troubleshoot routine challenges or problems.
- Coordinate required receipt inspections with discipline Engineers and QHSES.
- Coordinate required material and equipment issuance from warehouse/laydown yards to construction contractors.
Nice to have
- BS/BA supply chain, business administration or related field.
- Experience with multi-billion-dollar EPC brownfield or greenfield projects (preferred)
- Experience with Procurement practices such as bid development, negotiation and contracting a plus.
- Microsoft 365, SAP ECC/S4 Hana and or Ariba/Coupa a plus.
