About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accruals, prepaids, reserves, and suspense accounts.
  • Support the month-end close process by completing assigned tasks on schedule and investigating variances.
  • Assist with preparation of financial reporting support packages, including trial balance (TB) reviews and fluctuation analysis. Group reporting - quarterly.
  • Maintain well-documented, audit-ready workpapers compliant level 1 controls.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain and update desktop procedures and ensure compliance with process guidelines.
  • This position is dedicated exclusively to General Ledger (GL) accounting and month‑end close support.

Requirements

  • Experience with ERP/GL systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate and complete workpapers.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to investigate issues and explain account fluctuations.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly present findings to management and auditors.

Nice to have

  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations, settlements, confirmations, and ensure alignment with corporate policy.
  • Analyze GL accounts for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • 0-3 years of GL or corporate accounting experience
  • insurance or financial services experience is a plus.

Compensation

  • Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
