About the role
- In this role, you will: - Develop and sustain systems to drive compliance, fatality prevention and injury reduction. - Act as key health and safety liaison with location manufacturing, maintenance & engineering departments to assistance in the execution of their strategic and tactical health and safety plans. - Analyze injury and incident data and assist
- line management in the implementation of focused injury reduction efforts. - Provide expertise to proactively address injury reduction efforts. - Provide technical expertise and participate in injury / incident investigations to assist in identifying root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. - Assume leadership of the location's

- Select and manage PPE requirements.

- Develop, review and facilitate Health & Safety related training.
- Assess, evaluate, eliminate / minimize risks collaboratively with employees using technical knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Assist in investigations of health and safety incidents, root cause analysis, entry into databases and item closure tracking.
- Maintain working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety regulations and identify all requirements that apply or may apply to the facility.
- Participate in continuing professional education, staying current and competent in the respective Health & Safety profession through seminars, courses, literature review, etc.
