About the role
- This role is first and foremost for someone who lives and breathes software, architecture, and security - someone who can earn the trust of senior engineers through technical credibility, not just seniority.
- You'll remove blockers, raise the bar on quality, and ensure the team ships work that matters to customers.
- In your technical leadership capacity, you will:
Responsibilities
- Own and enforce security practices across the SDLC, including threat modeling, secure coding standards, and vulnerability management
- Lead the team's adoption of AI-augmented software development lifecycle (AI-SDLC), including spec-driven development using agentic AI.
- Hold regular 1:1s with direct reports and support their career growth through mentorship and honest feedback
- Support team members with HR, IT, and administrative issues as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into clear, actionable specs for your team
- Lead project planning and execution, ensuring the team has direction, resources, and clear priorities to deliver high-quality work on time
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in one or more of: Java, Golang, Python, JavaScript
- Experience with building and deploying with containers and c ontainer orchestration technology such as Kub ernetes
- Solid experience with microservice architectures, REST API design, and event-driven systems
- Experience or strong familiarity with AI agents, agentic frameworks, and protocols such as MCP and A2A
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AI security risks: prompt injection, adversarial inputs, data privacy, model integrity
- Experience with LLM guardrails, safety layers, or responsible AI practices
- Background in threat intelligence, malware analysis, or security research
