About the role

This role is responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring project execution excellence, and aligning field operations with company strategy.
The Operations Manager will provide leadership across multiple projects and teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Eastern Builders' quality standards.
This individual will play a critical role in team development, process optimization, and regional growth initiatives.

Support teams in resolving complex project challenges and mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Development Mentor and develop project teams to strengthen leadership capabilities and career growth.
Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of key operational staff in the region.
Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Participate in key client meetings and support business development efforts.
Process Improvement & Compliance Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, systems, and workflows.
Maintain strong working knowledge of Virginia-specific construction regulations and practices.
Risk Management Identify operational risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Support resolution of claims, disputes, and project issues as they arise.
Financial & Budget Management Review and manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability.

Ideal Candidate Profile Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction, with leadership experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level.
Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, scheduling tools).

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with Virginia construction markets, subcontractor networks, and regulatory environment.
Demonstrated success in scaling operations or opening new region Reports To: Project Manager / Director of Operations Expectations: Demonstrate strong leadership and accountability across all operational functions.
