About the role

The Apprentice is responsible for assisting journeyman electricians in planning, installing, and repairing electrical systems.
Participate in conducting routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure they are in proper working condition.
This may include supporting troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements.

Responsibilities

Learn from journeyman electricians to perform the installation of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
Participate in diagnosing electrical issues and develop effective solutions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety standards are followed.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
The apprentice will receive on-the-job training and are required to be enrolled in a classroom-based apprenticeship program to enhance their knowledge and skills in the electrical trade.
Participate in inspections as required.
Ensure all work meets the required standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Nice to have

Enrollment in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program required
Previous experience in electrical, construction or a related field is a plus

Skills

Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
A strong willingness to learn
Good communication skills for interacting with coworkers and clients.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely
Attend training sessions, workshops, and educational classes to enhance skills and knowledge.
