About the role

  • The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for leading field service teams responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining critical AC and DC power systems.
  • This role oversees daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor field technicians and installers performing AC and DC critical power installations.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members working with power plants, transformers, UPS systems, battery systems, and backup generators.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of external partners, subcontractors, and service vendors operating within the supervisor's area of responsibility to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer standards.
  • Provide hands-on technical support during complex installations or troubleshooting situations.
  • Conduct regular job-site safety inspections and lead daily safety briefings or toolbox talks.
  • Diagnose installation or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation related to installations, testing results, and service activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical installation, with direct experience in AC/DC power systems and power distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of AC and DC power systems, including UPS systems, rectifiers, battery systems, generators, and power distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and installation documentation.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety standards.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install, or remove batteries weighing 80-750 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience leading field crews, installation teams, or service technicians preferred.
