About the role
- The ideal candidate will possess initiative, communication and computer skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- The Blown Film Operator is a skilled manufacturing professional responsible for operating and managing Blown Line equipment to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and timely delivery of customer orders.
- This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with plant leadership to drive results in the key metrics of safety, waste, productivity and quality
- Execute machine adjustments to maintain product specifications
- Perform regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Monitor and maintain product quality according to established standards
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture
- Act as a change agent in developing a positive culture focused on continuous improvement
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Drug screening required
- Background check required
- Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action or attendance issues (Associates in Written or higher stage of counseling are not eligible to apply)
- Must have performer or higher rating in last review
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of PRISM or similar manufacturing software systems
Nice to have
- Stable work history
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Skills
- Basic computer proficiency including email
- Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools
- Self-directed and task-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of blown film processes and equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
