About the role
- The CNC Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines

Requirements
- Required: 2+ years' experience in CNC set up and machining.
- The ideal candidate must have experience with both CNC mills and lathes with a basic understanding of CNC programs.
- Must have experience in machining with manual mill and lathe as well.
- Knowledge of basic computer software including Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of cutting tools
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate
- Knowledge and experience with quality control tools, processes, and systems
- Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts that apply to machining
- Required: High school diploma or GED
Nice to have
- Associates degree in CNC machining
- 5+ years' experience in CNC set up and machining.
- Experience with a lathe with live tooling is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Renishaw probing systems.
- Experience in a heavy equipment/industrial manufacturing setting
- Sets-up mills and lathes by loading tools
- loading and indicating vises and fixtures
- finding work offsets manually or with electronic probe.

Compensation
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting tool compensation;
