About the role

  • Staff-level reliability engineer will care semiconductor reliability of at Samsung Foundry's new technology introduction (NTI)/new product introduction (NPI).
  • Provide technical leadership to direct a team for reliability improvement activities.
  • Identify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for NTI/NPI, technology qualification, process changes and abnormal events.

Responsibilities

  • The individual will collaborate with internal teams, Korea HQ teams, external customer(s), and Fab. seamlessly from NTI/NPI to mass production.
  • This reliability engineer will drive all phases of reliability engineering for advanced CMOS technology nodes with manager's help.
  • Manage solutions to integration problems working across several departments (Fab, PIE, Device, Product Test, etc) to improve reliability.
  • Design, execute, and analyze designed experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes.
  • Identify concerning items for product reliability and drive improvement actions with both local and overseas operations.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to access such information or eligible for government authorization.

Nice to have

  • Plus for strong understanding of Semiconductor Device Physics or Reliability Degradation Mechanisms.

Skills

  • MS, PhD in Engineering or Physics (preferred Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering)
  • Requires 10+ years of related experience in Semiconductor process, product or device engineering.

  • Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

Compensation

  • The current base salary range for this role is between $131,000 - $174,500.
  • Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
