Responsibilities

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in time‑sensitive situations.
  • Support and backup Facilities Team as needed.
  • Ability to document procedures, investigations, and system configurations accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Implement security improvements aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Analyze logs and respond to alerts and alarms in support of workplace safety and security in all GreatAmerica facilities.
  • Preserve evidence, review video footage, and document findings in accordance with legal, HR, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).

Nice to have

  • Experience administering access control and surveillance systems preferred
  • Demonstrated experience administering access control systems, surveillance platforms, or related physical security technologies preferred.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of physical access control systems, video surveillance platforms, alarm monitoring, and security event logging.
  • Ability to assess physical security controls and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with safety, emergency preparedness, and workplace security best practices.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, including reviewing logs, video footage, and access records.
  • Ability to evaluate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, vendors, security staff, and external responders.
  • Ability to explain security requirements and procedures in a practical, customer‑focused manner.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or security incidents, including outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining independence and accountability.
