About the role
- - Responsible for drawing development as assigned by Designer III or Designer II
- QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
Responsibilities
- Possess an understanding of vessel design, in any or all of the following areas: structure, HVAC, mechanical systems, wire ways or fitout
- Knowledge in design and construction of US Navy vessels is advantageous but not a requirement.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of 2D modeling experience
- Understanding of scheduling and an ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Minimum 2 years of shipyard design and construction experience or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experienced in interacting with Production, multiple design teams from several companies, customer representatives and equipment manufacturers.
- Computer literate and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products

- Computer - MS Office, AutoCAD 2006 or later

- LIAISES WITH: Engineers, Designers, Production Personnel, Customer, Program Management and Equipment Suppliers
