About the role

  • - Responsible for drawing development as assigned by Designer III or Designer II
  • QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

Responsibilities

  • Possess an understanding of vessel design, in any or all of the following areas: structure, HVAC, mechanical systems, wire ways or fitout
  • Knowledge in design and construction of US Navy vessels is advantageous but not a requirement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of 2D modeling experience
  • Understanding of scheduling and an ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Minimum 2 years of shipyard design and construction experience or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in interacting with Production, multiple design teams from several companies, customer representatives and equipment manufacturers.
  • Computer literate and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products

  • Computer - MS Office, AutoCAD 2006 or later

  • LIAISES WITH: Engineers, Designers, Production Personnel, Customer, Program Management and Equipment Suppliers
