About the role
- Wastequip WRX provides compactor repair services, maintenance, installation, and compactor rebuilding.
- Work may also be performed onsite at our facility.
- Hourly Pay Range: $30.00- $33.00: Will pay more with Trash Compactor experience.
Responsibilities
- Wastequip WRX Compactor Services division has an immediate opportunity for a Field Service Technician to support our Houston, TX service operation.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on commercial trash compactors, balers, and other hydraulic and electrical equipment.
- Utilize basic welding and fabrication skills to repair and maintain equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and the service team.
- Provide training and support to junior technicians as needed.
Requirements

- CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and complying with company and OSHA standards.
- Proven experience working on commercial trash compactors, balers, or similar hydraulic and electrical equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on a variety of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Basic welding skills.
- Basic fabrication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Previous experience managing people is preferred, as this position may grow into a leadership role.

Compensation
