About the role
- Establish reusable testing patterns that can be adopted consistently across pods
- Help define testing standards and best practices that scale across multiple product teams
- Continuously improve pipeline performance, reliability, and developer feedback loops
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain harnesses for unit, integration, and UI testing
- Partner with engineering teams to improve testability and reduce friction in the development process
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that execute tests reliably and surface failures clearly
- Partner closely with software engineers to design testable systems and features
- Support engineering pods in adopting testing best practices and platform capabilities
- You will help define what "tested" means at inKind and partner with software engineers to make our applications easier to test from the start.
- At inKind, engineering operates through small, autonomous pods that own products and outcomes end-to-end.
- Rather than acting as a centralized gatekeeper, you will enable every pod to deliver high-quality software independently by providing the tooling, standards, and infrastructure that scale across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building web and/or mobile testing platforms used by engineers
- 5+ years of experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests across the testing pyramid
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD solutions that enforce engineering quality standards
- Deep knowledge of testing frameworks such as Appium, XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- Passion for engineering quality and a track record of improving developer workflows
Nice to have
- Experience supporting multiple product teams or pods through shared platform ownership
- Experience scaling testing infrastructure during periods of rapid company growth
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
- Experience with containerized testing environments and CI/CD optimization
- Experience with mobile device farms, test parallelization, or cross-platform test orchestration
- Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and automation techniques
- Experience working within a Rails-based application ecosystem

- Mentor engineers on testing patterns, framework usage, and quality engineering fundamentals
Compensation
- $150,000 - $160,000
