Responsibilities
- Support the design, setup, and continuous improvement of material handling systems, including supermarkets, kitting areas, sequencing areas, and milk run routes.
- Maintain and update material‑flow data, including bill of materials, engineering changes, and new product or process introductions.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and other teams to provide recommendations and support improvement initiatives.
- Assist with planning and scheduling systems to reduce queue times and support just‑in‑time delivery.
- Support implementation and improvement of software, hardware, and equipment used for material‑flow activities.
- Develop project plans, track progress, communicate updates, and help drive successful project execution.
- Assist in the design and development of material handling fixturing and packaging solutions.
- Determine optimal packaging methods to maintain part integrity and ensure efficient delivery.
- Lead internal packaging redesign initiatives to align with evolving process requirements.
- Lead smaller‑scale implementations of supermarket design and milk‑run processes.
Requirements
- Analytical thinker with the ability to break down complex problems.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- 5 years of experience with advanced material ‑ flow strategies such as kitting, supermarket design, or milk ‑ run systems.
- Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and material‑handling systems.
- Familiarity with lean principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex process issues.
- Travel Required
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- Experience with material‑flow or material‑handling concepts preferred.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- 3 years of experience in material ‑ flow or internal ‑ lo gistics processes preferred.
